During the summer Franciacorta holds track days in the evening from 6:00 pm onwards and they don’t stop until around 9:30 when the sun has set. I headed down there to meet some fellow JDM Club Italy members and to see what these night sessions are like.

Franciacorta was pretty cool. As you can see people we’re racing way into the night, there’s an Integra in there somewhere. I’m now off to Barcelona for a week, more photos when I come back.

BDC 2010 Semi-Pro Rd.2 @ Llandow – Paddock

As it was the first time I’d been to any UK drift event it was nice to check out all the cars in detail. Everything stripped as far a possible and lots of zipties.

The MPH Custom RX-7. One of the more serious competitors… but the quality of the cars didn’t mean anything on track.

It had been cloudy all morning but the skies turned for the worse in the afternoon, menacing clouds surrounded the track and it began to rain. The wind also picked up which made it incredibly cold. Welsh weather was now in full effect.

The horrible earlier-than-usual wake up on a Saturday morning was excused by the fact that I was going down to Llandow for the day to watch British grassroots drifting at it’s best.

Over-throning the sound of the many in-line fours were the serious track machines.

The 911s are definitely the fastest round here.

Technically there are plenty of things that can beat it, but there a far more 911s and they are driven much harder.
