Z50J: Little Work
July 31, 2010
After seeing loads of customised mini bikes online I’ve had an urge to work on my little Z50J. Plus this is the only thing I have to get my hands dirty on.
Today I sorted out the indicators. As you can see one of the back ones got crushed after the bike fell a while ago. Quashed it back and now the orange light cover fits on nicely.

Farewell My Dear…
May 26, 2010
… it was nice owning you.
There is something special about your first car, no matter what it is. I’m please that mine was a Celica.
I will always remember her but there will be details that I may forget, so I decided to photograph the small things that made her great.

Projects – Version 5
March 17, 2010
I’ve tried a few times to put the ideas in my head down onto paper (or screen) to visualize it better, and after 5 attempts I feel like this one works. There are a few more things I want to add but this is close to done.
I wish I had Jonsibal’s skills…
I prefer the Zenki front end and with an R32 GT-R bumper I think it looks perfect. Work Emotion XT7s.

Projects – Last Shoot
January 6, 2010
I’m leaving to go back to Cardiff tomorrow and continue my second semester, so I thought I would go back to my usual spot and take a few shots of my car. I’m selling it and hope it’ll be sold by the time I come back for easter so this was sort of my last time to shoot it and maybe even see it.
I’m quite sad that I’m selling her, you’ll never forget your first car and she was quite darn good. 160 odd hp may not sound like much but for a first car it has been awesome.
I don’t know why I always come to this place, this little road between vineyards. It’s always peaceful and quiet. Maybe it’s because it’s that last place I can see the sun go down.
I’m happy I’m moving on to another car though. I want RWD and I need something that I am willing to put my money into. I never want to spend anything on this car because I’ve always imagined myself moving on to something better. I’ve decided that my next car is going to one that I’ll keep for ever, until I destroy it that is. Something that I can finally pour everything into.
I know it’s a cheesy photo, but I had to have one with her.
Goodbye, for now.
I also did some more testing with the VV3000 on that round. I love it because it has a separate screen, so I can move the camera around anywhere and clearly see what it’s looking at. It’s nice and small too. The problem is the quality is quite poor and the sound isn’t much. It’s good for on-board filming as you can pretty much stick it anywhere but you might have to get the audio from somewhere else.
Projects – Poor Equals Makeshift

At the moment I can’t even afford a £9.99 tripod off ebay. So I decided to make a temporary camera tripod using an old symbol stand from a drum kit. I broke the symbol so I thought I would use the stand for something before I threw it out.
This is the original stand.
I took off these metal ring bits as they seemed useless, but had to glue the plastic inserts in. Now that is detailed.
The piece where the symbol screws on to.
The finished camera mount. I glued some foam to protect the underside of the camera. 1 hour to make.
I would show you a picture of the camera on there but I refuse to take a picture with anything other than a DSLR.
I went out to try it out with some typical long exposure traffic shots.
Circonvallazione.
Love the indicator lights.
