Sightseeing: EDM Garage

After our Endurance run ended I decided to explore the Silverstone area out a bit and watch some racing (more on that later). Pretty much hidden away in between all the warehouses and companies was EDM Precision Technologies, I think. That’s what the sign said. Anyway, they specialise in custom performance parts for racing.

A pleasant surprise.

KTM 125 EXC, fast. Went round to a deserted area of Milan called Bicocca, nice to skate aswell, to test it out. I was blown away, every gear was as strong as 1st, even up to 6th. Mental.

The last thing I expected to see was a drift car at this weekend’s Formula Student event, but parked there in between some trucks was this BDC contender.
I passed by a few times in the hope of meeting the owner Dylan (as seen on Driftworks), but no luck.

Needed to break up the Formula Student content and go back to good’ol Silvias…

I’m gonna wait till Monday to write a big post update on Formula Student. In the mean time enjoy this brand spanking new WRX STi. The owner is a big Subaru fan as his previous car was a GDB STi 300.

One look at this GTS-t and the first thing that came to mind was cassette tapped videos and Japanese people talking too fast. No, I’ve never owned a drifting cassette, but there’s plenty of that stuff on youtube. This R32 Skyline was at BDC’s Semi-Pro Round 2 and the style of it is undeniably old. From the 1990s BN Sports looking kit to the old 3 piece competition style wheels that look like they could have come off a Le Mans racer from the 80s.
