I’m currently bored at home and I will do anything to procrastinate from studying. So today I thought I would check out a track which I’ve never been to: Autodromo di Franciacorta. It’s about 30 minutes from home which is awesome and it’s brand new, had a major revamp just over a year ago.

This is first thing you see as you enter the gates. The whole track is built in this quarry looking place.

Probably done so to keep it out of sight in the nice Padanian planes and to keep the noise pollution down.
It quite awesome when you look around and all you see are these banks, gives it a certain atmosphere.

The track:

Here’s my attempt at a panoramic photo of the track.
The track is pretty much flat and not that long, 2519m to be exact, with no high-speed corners. My dad who has instructed here tells me it’s a little boring because of the fact that there are no demanding corners. But he says the same thing about Tsukuba when I show it too him on games like Gran Turismo. I recon I’ll like it.

As you can see, the corners are simple but the last two turns do look like fun:

Left-handed banked hairpin into a right handed slightly downhill right angle turn. The flow looks good here…
